New taxi rank passes first day test

Posted: March 5 2013

Adelaide Airport's taxi rank has today moved to a bigger location to help get passengers home quicker after their flight.

The changeover to the new rank has gone smoothly with taxi drivers quickly getting used to the new layout, which was designed with input from the taxi industry.

Adelaide Airport Ltd appreciates there were queues during this morning's peak. This was simply because there were not enough taxis coming to the airport due to combination of Adelaide's 'Mad March' and a visit from one of the world's largest cruise ship putting an additional strain on resources.

Remember if you're flying into Adelaide Airport, turn left as you walk out of the terminal and follow the signage to the new taxi rank next to the pedestrian plaza. Taxi's will continue to drop off at the bottom of the new short-term car park.
