We’re making the world smaller

In 1998, as the new operators* of Adelaide Airport, we made a promise to deliver better facilities and attract more flights to more Australian and international destinations.

Twenty years on, even our most optimistic forecasts have been exceeded. We’ve developed an award winning domestic and international terminal, more than doubled passenger numbers and we’re now connecting travellers with more domestic and international destinations than ever before.

Today, you can fly non-stop from Adelaide to any one of nine international locations, which in turn creates one-stop connections with more than 300 cities around the globe.

We continue to improve and upgrade our facilities to ensure the start and end of your journey are smooth and seamless. In 2016, Travel and Leisure Magazine rated Adelaide Airport in its Top 10 international airports in the world.

It’s not just our travellers who benefit. More and more South Australian exporters are taking advantage of international flights to get their products to markets around the world quicker and more efficiently.

We are a major job generator for SA. Around 8,700 people work at Adelaide Airport – making us the biggest single site employment precinct in the State.

And there’s more to come. We have plans to expand our terminal with a focus on a better international arrivals and departures experience, while the new Atura Hotel directly adjacent the terminal will open in September.

We’re also generating economic growth, with our new Airport Business District attracting major companies including OZ Minerals, Kennards and Australian Clinical Laboratories.

All of this means we’ll continue to connect South Australia with even more new places and new people around the world for many years to come.
