What the latest Stay at Home restrictions mean for our customers.

Is the airport still open?

Yes the airport remains open as it is considered critical infrastructure and will remain open for flights carrying essential workers, freight and emergency services.


I have a flight booked, can I go to the airport to catch my flight?

The airport is considered critical infrastructure and will remain open during this period. The SA Police Commissioner has indicated that you can fly interstate, but subject to current quarantine arrangements at your destination. I’m due to fly home from interstate, can I still come home?

Yes. On arrival you will need to return immediately to your place of residence or where you will be isolating for the 3 days and remain there until the lockdown concludes.

I’m not a SA resident, can I still fly home?

The South Australian Government are urging everyone to stay where they are during the Stay at Home period to minimise the risk of spreading the disease. However if you need to return home during this period this is allowed, but please be aware you may be subject to quarantine restrictions at your destination. Are there flights to interstate? What is the flight status?

Yes there are still flights interstate but they are operating on a reduced schedule. Please contact your airline to check the status of your flight, which may have changed.

I’m a FIFO worker, can I go to my job?

We recommend you contact your employer for the latest updates.

Can I travel to regional South Australia?

No, regional travel is not permitted except for essential workers.

If I have flown back to South Australia from interstate, can I travel to my home in the regions?

Yes. but you must travel by the most direct and practicable means possible.

Are flights to regional South Australia operating?

Yes. Flights to regional South Australia are operating for those that have an essential reason for travel.

Are international fights still happening?

As per the Government’s direction, inbound international passengers will not be allowed to fly direct to Adelaide until November 30.

Some flights will continue to operate for outbound passengers heading overseas such as for essential travel or returning home, as well as carrying valuable international freight to and from Adelaide.

If you are booked to travel on an outbound international flight between now and November 30, we recommend keeping in touch with your airline for the latest flight information.

Can I still transit through SA to catch my international flight?

Yes. Customers returning to their home overseas who been granted an exemption to travel and a hold a ticket on an international flight can still travel.


Is the airport continuing being cleaned regularly?

Cleaning and sanitising the terminal will continue to remain in place during this period.


Are the shops open at the airport?

All retail will be closed in accordance with the State Government’s directive. There are a number of vending machines around the terminal offering food and drink items and these will be stocked regularly. Unfortunately there are no coffee options. Yes, it breaks our heart too!

Is the hotel open?

The hotel is only open for accommodation. Guests are able to order room service during their stay.


Is the car park open?

Like the airport, car parks will remain fully operational over this time for new and returning customers.

My travel has been extended due to the restrictions – do I need to extend my car park booking?

If the current COVID-19 travel restrictions result in your stay extending past your booked exit time, there is no requirement to log in to extend your booking. Parking beyond the Booking Period will be charged at the same average daily rate as your original Parking Booking. Calculation and payment will occur automatically upon your exit from the car park.

My travel has been curtailed as a result of the restrictions – am I eligible for a refund on my car park booking?

Pre-booking customers who have had their travel curtailed as a result of the November 2020 restrictions can apply for a customer credit equal to the value of any unused parking. I have a car park booking coming up?

For customers wishing to change future car parking bookings, this can be done online at manage my bookings on our website up to two hours prior to the booking time.

Who can I contact if I need assistance with my parking?

Are taxis still operating?

Taxis are deemed an essential service and are still operating.

Is rideshare an essential service as an alternative to taxis?


Is public transport still operating?

Public transport is deemed an essential service and will continue to operate.

Are you allowed to drive someone to and from the airport in a private vehicle?


Can I come into the Airport to meet a loved one?

Unless you are providing special needs care to a person you are collecting we recommend you remain in your vehicle.

I need assistance from the Port Cochere/Car Park to the Terminal. Is this still available at Adelaide Airport and how do I utilise it?

Persons with a disability or who need special assistance can call us on 08 8308 9380 or 0438 890 024 (7 days between 04:30am and 11:00pm) prior to their visit to the airport

Are car rental facilities still available at the Airport?

Car Rental facilities are currently closed in the terminal.
